Hisbah Fires Commander “caught in a hotel with a married woman”
Hisbah’s command in Kano State has terminated the appointment of Sani Nasidi Uba Remo, one of their commanders, who was reportedly stabbed to death by a married woman in a hotel in Kano.
Laval Fagge, the board’s public affairs manager, confirmed this on Tuesday.
He said the committee investigating the adultery charge against Remo had found him guilty.
Remo, who led a campaign against prostitutes in Kano, was reportedly caught with a married woman in a hotel room in the Sabon Gari district of Kano in February.
When asked to identify the woman, he reportedly said she was his niece, stating that he kept her in a hotel room because she had problems with her husband.
The commander-in-chief of the Hisba council, Ustaz Harun Muhammad ibn Sina, later set up a committee to investigate the matter.
“We have created a committee of 5 people to conduct a thorough investigation of this issue. And if he is found guilty, the council will certainly treat him accordingly, ”said Sina.
