How lustful lecturers almost disappointed me – says a first-class lawyer
Ms. Ebizi Eradiri, a Bayelsa-born lawyer who graduated with honors from the Niger Delta University in Amassom and repeated the same feat at Nigeria’s law school, spoke about the challenges she faced.
Eradiri revealed how she was almost disappointed by some of the lustful university lecturers, according to The Nation.
He did so on Wednesday in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa state, during a reception hosted in his honor by the Sele Eradiri Foundation, a non-governmental organization in collaboration with other NGOs, called #Schoolnobescam.
According to the young lawyer, if not for her prayers, hard work and dedication, she would not have achieved an unprecedented feat – becoming the first student to graduate from the law faculty of NDU with first grade.
About how she managed to overcome the problem with which teachers upset students, especially girls, she said: “I would say it is through prayers. Secondly, I would behave like this.
“I was very good at my clothes, which allowed me to get the best dressed NDU law student the year I graduated. I tried not to wear delicate items that could expose sensitive parts of my body.
“I felt that this was the starting point for not bringing even the wrong teachers to me. I would say his prayer because there was a time when we took a course and a particular teacher was trying to do something interesting.
“When I heard from that teacher in the first semester, I had to call home and I told them what was going on and we all prayed and prayed.
“At some point I had to pass this question on to my supervisor, and I told her what the teacher was doing, and she had to call and warn him. These are some of the challenges that a little girl will have to face, but I think through prayers and sending them to the right place, they can overcome them. “
She went on to say that the lowest grade she received while in college was a ‘C’, given to her with malicious intent by a specific teacher who was determined to sleep with her, noting that “I knew what I wrote, but she got a ‘C.’, I know what I mean. “
Eradiri has pledged to use her appointment as Governor Douillet Diri as the new face of the Bayelsa girl as a corporate mentoring platform to instill a culture of reading in Bayels’ youth.
However, members of the public at the reception asked the state government to match words with action to ensure that the governor’s promise to sponsor Ebizi Eradiri through her master’s and doctoral degrees at any university of her choice in the world was fulfilled.
Speaking also, the organizer of the meeting in Ebizi’s homeland, Dr. Ebiekure Eradiri, said that the tag “#Smchoolnobescam” was initiated to change the current youth history and educate leaders of a new generation with intellectual skills.
“We want our young people to start seeing education as a real thing for development, using Ebizi as a model,” he added.
As a reminder, Gov. Duje Diri on Monday announced an automatic Eradiri scholarship for master’s and doctoral degrees at any university in Nigeria or overseas.
The Governor also offered the automatic dual-employment of a first-class law graduate to lecture at NDU Law School.
