How Nigerian women invited an Indian for a massage after robbing him of $ 70,000 – Dubai police
According to media reports, a 33-year-old Indian in Dubai was robbed of Rs 55,30,806 by a gang of four women after he was lured into a fake massage parlor through a dating app.
The case was heard in the first instance court in Dubai, Gulf News reports.
According to court documents, the unidentified victim saw an offer for a 200 dirhams (Rs 3,950) massage session with pictures of beautiful girls promoting her.
He called the number on the app and in November 2020 went to an apartment in the Al Refaa neighborhood of Dubai.
“I saw four African women in the apartment … They asked me to open my banking application. [on my mobile phone] and transfer money. They threatened me in the throat with a knife and hit me in the face, ”the statement quoted by the victim says.
One of the women then took her credit card and withdrew AED 30,000 (Rs 5.92,586) from an ATM. The report states that he was held in an apartment for a day while the women transferred 250,000 dirhams (49,38,219 rupees) from the victim’s bank account to other accounts.
“They only allowed me to leave the apartment after they took my iPhone. I warned the bank and reported the incident to the police, ”said the victim.
According to Dubai police, three Nigerian women were arrested in Sharjah after a thorough investigation, and a fourth woman is still on the run from justice.
“One of them admitted to luring the victim through the Tinder app, offering massage services and using pictures of beautiful women. They kept the victim locked up in an apartment and transferred money from his account to several accounts outside the country, ”said the policeman.
