How two Gunrunners were captured with guns in a tricycle on the Plateau
Two suspected arms traffickers were paraded by Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), a multi-tasking security group that maintains peace in the Plateau, Bauchi and South Kaduna.
Arms trafficking suspects were paraded in Jos, Plateau state.
OPSH commander Major General Chukwuemeka Okonkwo, flaunting suspects at headquarters, said the arrest was confirmed by the command’s determination to get rid of criminal elements in the state.
According to him, two youths were arrested in the Dong area of Jos State, South LGA state, while transporting their weapons on a tricycle.
The suspects told reporters that they often bought weapons from Bitrus in Woma for 120,000 shekels apiece and sold them 140,000 shillings, adding that this was the third time they had bought weapons.
However, the commander urged residents of the state to report any suspicious movements, adding that the fight against crime is not only for the security forces, but also for the public.
