He said: “The agency activated its team this morning at about 7:49 am in response to distress signals in connection with the fire at GTbank in Amuvo Odofin.
“Upon arrival at the scene, information compiled by the LRU fire brigade showed that the flames seen on the roof of the bank building were the result of a surge in current from one of the air conditioners. air in the office.
“The joint action of the agency’s fire department and the Lagos fire department prevented the spread of fire to other divisions of the bank and the improvement of buildings.
“No casualties or deaths were recorded at the scene.
“A disaster assessment was carried out to ensure that the fire did not reignite. The operation is complete. “
