“I am no longer silent” – a woman paralyzed by the police told a sad story.

A woman from Nigeria shared a very touching story of how she lost her legs as a result of a stray bullet fired by a police officer.

The experience of Nike Adekanle was shared by actress, director, director and producer Toyin Abraham, who revealed that Adekanle is a friend of her family.

Sharing a photo of Nike Adekanle sitting in a wheelchair, Toyin Abraham wrote:

“This is my friend of the Adenike family @nikeadekanle. She was not born like this, she was the stray bullet of the Nigerian police on July 23, 1996 at about 3:00 pm in Apata Ibadan, and she has been in the hospital for over a year now. No phone call, no police check, no bill payment. {Ps- I needed your permission to do this} #endpolicebrutality. “

Adenike confirmed the story by writing: “I am no longer silent…. these words bring back a lot of terrible things that I want to forget, but if it helps us fight police brutality, then WE ARE MOVING !!!! #EndSars #ENDPOLICEBRUTALITY. “
