I couldn’t breathe without gasping – makeup artist Onakoya on the battle with COVID-19
Bimpe Onakoya, a Nigerian makeup artist, has documented her battle with Covid-19. He did this to alert people to the seriousness of the deadly virus.
The award-winning makeup artist said she spent over two weeks in a hospital in Kenya after testing positive for Covid-19 in the East African country.
She said that she was ill and could not breathe without suffocation and coughing, so she had to supply oxygen.
She was diagnosed before Christmas and is still recovering.
“Covid is real,” he warned in the video, adding, “No kidding. Don’t say it’s for the rich. “
After sharing a video of her fight against the virus at the hospital, she wrote, “I survived Covid !! From December 23rd, when I tested positive, my temperature was constantly between 38 and 39.8 until New Years, when I could no longer breathe without choking and coughing.
“At that time I already had pneumonia, in short, I was discharged yesterday, Covid is real and it also has many complications, please guard your life with all your might, this disease is relentless !!
“I never get tired of changing clothes, washing and disinfecting my hands, I need Jesus’ intervention to get through this !! I am still in Kenya.
