If anything happens to me, put the responsibility on Governor Bal Mohammed.
Benue State Governor Samuel Hortom condemned the threat to his life and said his colleague from Bauchi State Bala Mohammed should be held accountable if anything happens to him, IgbereTV reported.

Governor Hortom issued the indictment briefing reporters in Makurdi, the capital of Benue state, on Monday 22 February. His accusation came just a week after Governor Mohammed accused him of being behind the hatred of Fulanis in Nigeria. Governor Mohammed also relied on walking shepherds with AK47 assault rifles.
Speaking at a press conference this afternoon, Governor Hortom accused Governor Mohammed of supporting the illegal possession of weapons by foreign pastors.
“I want to think that Bala Mohammed is also part of what these pastors said and that those pastors wrote to me and said they would kill me.
And if something happens to me, I do not want anyone to have doubts, Bala Mohammed should be held accountable. Especially his release last week after the condemning remarks he made about Fulani wearing an AK-47 and living throughout Nigeria.
He came back to say that Orthom was responsible for hating the Fulani people, and I see this as a way to vilify me and commit me to murder. He wants to turn Fulani against me. They are not against the Fulani, they are in the Benue state and remain here, ”Ortom said.
He called on Governor Mohammed to offer an unconditional apology to the Nigerians for the comment, which was condemned by many Nigerians.
“I think Governor Bauchi, my brother, Governor Bala Mohammed, should just go out and apologize to the Nigerians,” Governor Hortom said.
