In Osuna, student in coma beat up school principal
A 19-year-old student from Odduwa College, Ile-Ife, Osun State, was detained at the headquarters of the Nigeria Police Department in Osogbo for beating up the headmaster of the school, Mr. Ademol Sanusi, in a coma.

A statement received by DAILY POST says the reasons for the students’ actions are not yet known.
DAILY POST learned that a 19-year-old student, in collaboration with his gang members, repeatedly beat the principal on the school grounds.
In response to the incident, Osuna State Education Commissioner Folorunso Oladoin said it was downright judgmental, disgusting, disturbing and discouraging that a public high school student could be involved in such morally absurd behavior.
Describing students at Osuna Public School as disciplined, cultured and educated, the commissioner argued that the 19-year-old criminal and his gangsters will not go unpunished, no matter what the cost.
The Commissioner, who expressed his satisfaction that decency and discipline are being strengthened on a daily basis in all public schools, explained that the administration of Mr. Adegboega Oyetola will not violate the standards.
Oladoin warned that such incidents will not be tolerated in any form or any form from now on in all public or private schools in Osuna.
He reaffirmed the determination of the state government to scapegoat any student found to be indisciplined by enforcing the outrageous anger of the law.
The Education Commissioner advised students to approach their studies directly, rather than engage in truancy and hooliganism, and urged parents and guardians to monitor the activities of their children and charges before and after the school schedule.
Meanwhile, the detention of the teenager by the Nigerian police is awaiting the completion of necessary investigations into this matter by the police authorities.
