IPOB attacked us, burned our station and four cars in Ebony – Police
Biafran Indigenous Peoples (IPOB) representatives reportedly attacked Onich Police Headquarters, Isu, in the Onich Local Government Area, Ebony State.

IGBERE TV learned that the attackers set fire to the left wing of the police station and four police patrol cars.
The Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Ebonyi Command, DSP Loveth Odah, who confirmed the incident in a statement Thursday night, said IPOB members said police in the area were protecting Fulani shepherds who allegedly killed one of their members.
“This follows threats from a banned group claiming that the police are protecting the Fulani pastors, whom they have accused of killing one of their members, Nvite Nyoku ‘m’. During the attack, the policeman received cuts with a machete and is being treated at the hospital. ”
Meanwhile, State Police Commissioner Aliyu Garba conducted a study tour of the area and met with community stakeholders to ask for their support in investigating the case.
“The KP, while reassuring the general public, especially the residents of the state, of its unwavering commitment to protecting life and property, urges everyone to abide by the law as normalcy is fully restored in the area,” he said. Oh yeah.
In its reaction, IPOB denies involvement in the attack. The group’s secretary for media and advertising, Emma Powerful, said its members continue to support the basic goals of the struggle while remaining non-violent.
“ESN cannot participate in this kind of violence, our goal is to protect women from Fulani shepherds and other criminals in the southeast, we will never escalate into violence,” said Powerful.
