JAMB opens admission portal 2020/2021
According to a report by The PUNCH, the Joint Admissions and Admissions Commission announced that its portal has been reopened for admission in 2020/2021.
The Board said the launch of the portal gives institutions access to download the names of candidates selected for admission in 2020/2021.
JAMB spokesman Fabian Benjamin confirmed this in a telephone interview on Wednesday.
When our reporter visited the JAMB site on Wednesday, the portal was open.
He quoted the rector of JAMB prof. Is-haq Oloyede, stating that acceptance processes must go through a central admission processing system for approval.
“Of course, a long time ago. Any institution, not just the public, who wants it, is already busy, ”said Oloyd.
JAMB previously warned the public not to fall prey to scams and rumors.
In a posting in the Chancellor’s Office Weekly Newsletter, it is said that he has not yet started selling uniform exam forms for higher education and for admission in 2021.
“JAMB reiterates that it has not started selling its UTME and Direct Entry 2021 application forms, nor has it announced a verification date.
Clarification was required after fake news that the board of directors had started the sale and urged potential applicants to get it at some vague points of sale.
“The public should note that news of the alleged sale of registration forms is false and represents an attempt to mislead the public.”
JAMB explained that the delay in starting the sale of application forms was the result of the COVID-19 pandemic prevailing in the country, but it will soon close deals.
