Japhet Omojuwa apologizes to Osinbajo and deletes tweet
Twitter celebrity Japhet J. Omojuwa, known simply as @omojuwa on his Twitter profile, has apologized to the Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.
A few days ago, Omojuwa implicated the VP in an EndSars affair without being fully aware of the steps the VP has taken since the protest began.
He tweeted it
“If they intimidate the #ENDSARS protesters, they hope to intimidate and silence you. Wish @ProfOsinbajo sits comfortably while his government is bringing Nigeria back to its autocratic times! Great shame. I wonder who sees in the mirror! present day `s. A shame !!! “
And last night, he said he was fully aware of what the vice president is doing to end police brutality and reform Nigeria’s police, so he apologizes for his fight.
I would like to receive this tweet about Vice President @ProfOsinbajo and apologize for it. I understand better what happened and his efforts to ensure that everything is done correctly. My tweet was posted because of my desire to respect the law.
These are the same battles waged by the vice president himself. There was no malice in my position. It is only important that we continue to tone our leaders. Once again, I apologize for this tweet. PS: This has nothing to do with the hate tweets that were sent to me today. “
