Kidnapped Taraba MP Mohammed regained freedom
Bashir Mohammed, a member of the Tarabah State House of Assembly representing the Nguroje State Electoral College, who was kidnapped by gunmen on Wednesday, has returned to freedom, PUNCH reported.

The deputy’s aide told The PUNCH that his boss was released by the kidnappers last night.
While the aide, who opted for anonymity, declined to comment on how much he was paid to release his director, another source said millions of naira were handed over to the kidnappers prior to Mohammed’s release.
Our correspondent was unable to independently verify the specific amount of the ransom, as the police and other family members refuse to talk about the amount.
Mohammed was reportedly admitted to a secret hospital for treatment shortly after he was reunited with his family.
State Police Officer David Misal confirmed this and said that an investigation was under way to find the kidnappers.
