Lagos police arrested landlord’s daughter for beating tenant to death
Lagos State Police Command arrested Ms. Tina Essi (f) on charges of the alleged murder of 49-year-old Christian Akpari from 26 Oriyamogun Street, Orejo, Ikorodu, Lagos.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that on January 31, 2021, a discussion broke out between the owner’s daughter, Ms. Tina Essi, and the deceased, living at the same address, over the payment of Nep’s account, which led to a fight.
After the fight, the deceased was constantly in great pain, but unfortunately on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at about 7 a.m., when the deceased was taken to the general hospital, Ikoroda, he released a ghost.
Police officers assigned to the Ikorodu command unit were contacted and the suspect was immediately arrested. The Police Commissioner ordered the transfer of the suspect to the State Investigation and Investigation Department, SCIID, Pantifl for a thorough investigation. The suspect is currently cooling her legs at the GUVD, Panti, Yaba.
Police Commissioner of the Lagos State Command, KP Hakim Odumosu, however, urged the relatives of the deceased to remain calm, as the command will do everything necessary to ensure justice in this matter. The police chief also urged Lagos to always resolve their differences and conflicts with maturity and ask for police intervention where necessary to avoid premature death and face problems.
