A 28-year-old alleged ritualist named Rufai Yunusa was captured at Bauchi.

A suspect from Rumbu Village, local government of Ninga, was detained by the Bauchi State Police for the ritual murder of four children aged 2 to 4 years.
According to a statement released by State Police Command spokesman Mohammed Wakil, Yunusa was arrested after someone named Isyaku Ahmed filed a complaint with the State Command’s Ganjuwa Division, which said he had taken his daughter away on Tuesday, February 16. Maimuna Isyaku to a local physician (Rufai Yunusa) for traditional treatment, where the said Rufai told him that his daughter (Maimuna) was suffering from a spiritual illness and assured him that his daughter would be cured.
Then he asked for and received $ 10,000 from her father, after which he took the girl to the forest, ostensibly for a spiritual healing session, in order to return some time later and inform the girl’s father that the little girl had mysteriously disappeared. during the process.
After receiving the report, the Ganjuwa Divisional Patrol Team took action, searched the entire forest and found the dead body of the aforementioned Maimuna.
She was immediately taken to hospital, where a doctor pronounced her death.
Then the ritualist (Rufai Yunusa) was arrested in connection with the crime, and during interrogation, he voluntarily confessed that he had killed the aforementioned Maimuna.
She went on to say that she was not his only victim and claims that she usually commits the act with the consent of the parents, informing them in secret that the children cannot return during the healing sessions.
Vakil added that a knife and 26 pairs of children’s clothing were found during the operation. He added that investigations are ongoing, after which the suspects will be charged with criminal prosecution / possible conviction.
