Many were injured in numerous accidents in Umuahia, the driver escaped lynching
Countless people are now fighting to save their lives after several accidents on the Ikot-Ekpene expressway along the BCA road in Umuahia-Abia state.
ABN TV realized that the problems began when the driver of the articulated vehicle, commonly known as the trailer with registration number DUK 584 XA, tried to make his way down the always busy road.
He allegedly beat a woman and her son in KEKE NAPEP, which resulted in injuries of varying degrees of severity.
As he tried to park in an apparent attempt to assess the situation, he suddenly drove off, ignoring the signal from the traffic cop in the area.
While trying to escape, he also hit another KEKE NAPEP and a Corolla that tried to stop him from escaping, making them impossible to fix.
This, however, angered the local youths, who dragged him into pursuit and then arrested him on the Bende Amaeke Ibeku road.
The crazy driver, whose identity could not be identified, however, jumped out of the car, leaving his assistant to fend for themselves.
He was handed over to the police awaiting the driver’s return.
Apostle Christian Ulonnam, youth leader of the Ancient Kingdom of Nkata Ibeku Umuahiya, in a chat with ABN TV, said that the presence of policemen saved the situation from the escalation of justice in the jungle.
