On May 15, Tangale, the traditional first-class ruler in Gombe State, Dr. Abdu Buba Mausharu, died.

Posts tracked on social media say the traditional ruler died early Monday morning at his Billiri palace after a brief illness.

Dr. Abdu Buba Maisharu was a traditional administrator and ruler born on May 15, 1948 in Poshia, Billyri, LGA of Gombe State.

Attended Billiri Elementary School, 1962-1968; Commercial Institute, 1971; Kaduna Polytechnic, 1974-1978, served in the government of the then northeastern state of Maiduguri from 1971-74; Organization of meals during training, Yankari Nature Reserve, Bauchi, 1975-76; ag. Grad II Hotel Manager, Bauchi State Wildlife Authority and Hotel Board.

In the private sector, he worked for Ashaka Cement PIc, Gombe State, from 1979 to 2001, in various positions including Depot Mgr, Kaduna Regional Office; Shipping Controller, Factory Warehouse Controller; Depot Msgr. Zaria, Dutse, Azare, Yola; Transparent planner, head office.

The Bible Society of Nigeria awarded him a 20-year certificate of service from 1979 to 1999; Ashaka Cement PIc; Certificate of honor as an advisor for 6 years, 1995-2001 From ECWA Church, Ashaka; ECWA Bayara LCB Charity Service Certificate, Bauchi, 2003; Special thanks from the local government of Billiri, Gombe State, for maintaining peace and security; awards in 2004.

He was included in the American Biographical Institute’s Who’s Who list in 2004; introduced by second class office staff in 2002; recognized as the third largest traditional ruler, Gombe, the state; received his doctorate in canon law (honoris causa) from the Pan-African Christian Theological University, Abuja; Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu, 2004

The head of government of Mai Tangale in Gombe State, Dr. Abdu Buba Maisharu II, passed away late Sunday night at the age of 72, the state government confirmed in a statement on Monday.

According to a statement released by the state government secretary, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, the late monarch passed away after a short illness at the Federal Clinical Hospital (FTH) in Gomba.

“We regret to report the death of Dr. Abd Buba Meischer II, the fifteenth May club, who passed away on Sunday 10 January 2021 after a short illness at the age of 72 at the Federal Teaching Hospital (FTH), Gombe,” the statement said. said.

The government described the sudden death of the supreme ruler as a monumental loss for the head of Tangale, the state and the nation as a whole.

Prof. Njodi prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and congratulated the members of the close relatives of the late monarch, the chiefdom of Tangale and all the people of the state.

Dr. Maisharu II was a first-class monarch and led the Tangal Chief of Billiri State (LGA).

In May 2020, he tested positive for COVID-19, but after 12 days he was treated and recovered.

The statement added that the burial order will be announced shortly.
