Men who allegedly raped and filmed a 19-year-old girl in custody in court
The two friends who allegedly raped and filmed a teenager were imprisoned by the Magistrates’ Court in Ota, Ogun State on Wednesday 6 January.
Police charged 30-year-old Oluvadamilar Oyenia and 30-year-old Okorji Emmanuel on two counts of conspiracy and rape.
State Councilor Oluwole Aede told the court that the duo committed the crime on December 12, 2020 at their residence in the Sango Ota district of Ogun city.
Ayed stated that Oyeni and Emmanuel had conspired and raped the victim. He also claimed that Oyeni and Emmanuelle were caught filming their crime.
According to him, the crime violated the provisions of Articles 358 and 516 of Volume 1 of the Criminal Code, Volume 1, Laws of Ogun, 2006.
Magistrate Shotunde Shotajo, who did not comply with Oyeni and Emmanuel’s request, ordered the police to return the case file to Prosecutor Ogun for legal advice.
