Metropolitan Police used firearms against annoying Trump supporters
Capitol police officers pulled their pistols on Wednesday in an attempt to defend the House’s chamber in an apparent standoff with protesters on Capitol Hill.

Shortly before this, the deputies and journalists were evacuated from the chamber.
Tear gas was also supplied at the roundabout.
The photographs showed police inside the cell, but the nature and extent of the threat from the protesters was unclear when the reports came in.
Capitol police barricaded the cell door and pulled their weapons in an apparent armed clash with Trump supporters on Wednesday.
In the images from the scene, officers and security personnel pointed weapons at a door that was locked and had holes in it. When the reports arrived, the nature and extent of the threat outside of the protesters was unclear.
Lawmakers, staff and reporters were ordered to leave the cell and shelter on site, and tear gas was thrown into the rotunda.
