Militants assassinate NDP advisor candidate in Delta |
Militants assassinated an adviser candidate to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the March 6 elections in Ogara municipality, West Ethiopia Delta State Local Government District, Mr. Elliot Of.

IgbereTV reported that on Monday, January 11, gunmen abducted Ofu and two others on the Jesse / Aubin road, near the border between Delta and Edo.
All three were reportedly returning from the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) office in Asaba, the state capital, when they were ambushed and shot by militants.
The deceased was a direct former environmental advisor to the West Ethiopia Local Government Council.
Delta State Police spokesman, DSP Onome Onovwakpoya, who confirmed the incident, said it took place in Edo state and not in the Delta.
