Militants set fire to NDLEA office in Abia

Militants set fire to the offices of the National Drug Enforcement Agency in Abia state.

The incident took place in Amayekpu, Ohafia, LGA of the NDLEA State Office in Abia.

Thus, last Sunday, an attack was carried out on the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, located in Amayekpu, Oafia.

In support of the incident, NDLEA State Commander Bamidele Akingbade said the incident occurred at about 3 am on Tuesday, saying the office was “partially” razed to the ground.

None of the suspects were hurt, he said, as he had previously been relocated due to the isolation of the office, adding that no documents were burned in the fire safe.

Meanwhile, the Abia state government has promised to arrest the criminals.

State Commissioner for Information John Kalu said: “We will take the authors and bring them to justice.”
