Militants shoot at the leader of the NDP Oyo, who died on his farm
The leader of the People’s Democratic Party (NDP) in the state of Oyo Fatai Aborod died.
According to TheCable, the man was shot dead.
Aborod was reportedly killed on Friday at his farm on Apodun Road, Igangan, in the Ibarapa local government area, north of the state.
The deceased, who was the managing director of Kunfayakun Green Treasures Limited, was attacked Friday night, according to Olugbenga Fadeyi, the state’s public relations officer (PPRO).
“Around 1750, on November 12, 2020, on the way to Apodun Igangan, four unidentified armed men robbed and killed one fatal aborder Alha from Igangan,” the statement said.
“The victim was taken to a hospital in Olugbon, Igboura, where death was confirmed. Efforts are under way to arrest the escaped intruders. “
The deceased and his manager were attacked on the way home.
The manager escaped gunfire and reportedly fled the scene when he was attacked by gunmen.
Aborod was the Concord Party candidate for the House of Representatives in 2015. However, he recently went over to the side of the NDP.
