Access Bank Plc’s management has responded to viral reports that the bank is placing military snipers on the rooftops of its headquarters in Lagos.

In a statement released by the bank, they denied access to military snipers allegedly stationed at the Lecchi toll booth, the #EndSARS protest site.
In response to the allegations on Wednesday, the Bank tweeted:
“We want to respond to Arise TV’s announcement that military snipers have been allowed access to our headquarters tower for operations in the area of the Lecchi toll station. This is absolutely wrong.
“The video posted on Arise TV showed a bank clerk performing scheduled maintenance on the tower. Unfortunately, this was reported as a sniper without any evidence.

“As a corporate citizen striving to make a positive impact on life, we will never endanger the lives of Nigerians.”
Access Bank also said it was deeply saddened to learn of the tragic deaths of innocent people yesterday at Lecky Tall, “we pray that the souls of the innocent will rest in peace.”
Meanwhile, despite news of death in the attack, Governor Babajide Sanvo-Olu, while denying that anyone had died in the attack, confirmed the death of one of the injured patients a few minutes later.
