Missing 11-year-old orphan found on the way from the river to Onitsha
According to the report, the Good Samaritan rescued an 11-year-old boy named Timo Wisdom, who allegedly walked from Rivers to Onitsha.
The victim, an orphan and a resident of the Onitsha power line, was rescued at the Rumuekpe Junction in Rumuji, under the Emoha State Territory.
The people found out that the victim, his parents’ only child, was on his way to Onitsha from Ahoada, where he stayed with a woman who was handed over by his grandmother, a little Onitsha trader, when he was found. …
Anambra State Police spokesman Haruna Mohammed, who confirmed the incident, said the victim was in moral danger as attempts to find her relatives were unsuccessful.
“The Anambra State Police Command wishes to inform Ndi Anambra that an 11-year-old boy who identifies himself as Timo Wisdom and lives on the Onitsha power line has been found wandering in East Ahoada District of Rivers State.
“The boy who claimed to be living with his grandmother at the above address also said that he was a student at the Benisamam Onitsha Academy.
“He is an orphan because both of his parents are dead, and he is the only child of his dead parents. He calls his grandmother “Mother Divine Power” because she has a son named Divine Power.
“According to him, my grandmother sells condiments at retail under Onitsa Skybridge.
“The grandmother allegedly handed him over to the woman in this position under the bridge and told him that the woman was taking him to Ahoada, Rivers State.
“He stayed with the woman for about two days and ran away from her because, according to him, she did not feed him well. He decided to return to Onitsha from there, not knowing the way.
“However, he was picked up by a good Samaritan at Rumuekpe Junction in Rumuji under the Emoha LGA in Rivers State and returned to the Ahoada unit in Rivers.
“Several attempts to find her relatives have been interrupted, and it is obvious that the child is in moral danger.
