President Muhammadu Buhari received the 2021 Electoral Bill, which was recently approved by the National Assembly.
According to a brief statement by the president’s senior special assistant for National Assembly affairs, Senator Babajide Omoworare, the bill was broadcast to Buhari on Friday.
He said the transmission was done in accordance with Section 53, paragraph 3 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and the 2004 Authentication Act.
“We inform you that pursuant to Section 58 (3) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) and the Act of Authentication Chap. A2 LFN 2004, the National Assembly has transmitted the 2021 Electoral Bill to Mr. President today Friday 19 November 2021 ″, the statement reads.
