NBA President Confronts Government of Nigeria Freezing Bank Accounts of #ENDSARS Protesters
Nigerian Bar Resident Olumide Akpata condemned the freezing of the bank accounts of some #ENDSARS protesters by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Akpata also condemned the ongoing harassment and intimidation of Nigerian youth for participating in the protests, which have received international attention.

Akpata, who expressed his displeasure in a tweet, called the crackdown on protests a bad move and a breach of confidence.
He said: “Lawyers are not smiling about what happens after the #ENDSARS protests. @Djswitch_ is hiding after receiving phone threats, @moeodele has confiscated passport and cannot travel, @savvyrinu and other accounts are blocked by CBN. It wasn’t a deal.

SaharaReporter reported that after the freezing of the bank account of Bolatito Oduala, one of the protesters who is also a youth representative on the Lagos Judicial Commission, the jury was forced to postpone the meeting for a week.
The CBN, led by Godwin Emefiel, was ordered ex parte to block the bank accounts of 20 protesters.
On Saturday, police also raided the home of Eromosele of Peter Aden, one of the EndSARS protest organizers, and headed to the office of the Lagos State Police Commissioner.
