Nigeria Youth Leader Supports New Law to Allow Men to Be Legal Owners of Their Wives’ Property After Divorce

Mustafa Zaharaddin, president of the Kano State Section of the Nigerian Youth League (NYL), said a new law should be passed allowing men to be the legal owner of any property their wives own after divorce.

According to him, he does not understand why a woman should leave after a divorce.

“I will never understand why a wife would pack her household belongings after a divorce. There should be a new law that will allow men to be the legal owners of whatever property their wife has come from home with so that she cannot pack it after the divorce, ”he said yesterday on Twitter.
