Nigerian military expose reports of Buratay sponsoring NGOs that threaten Amnesty International
The Nigerian military has rejected allegations that Army Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Tukur Buratay is a supporter of the Center for African Liberation and Social and Economic Rights (CALSER) NGO and is threatening to kill Amnesty International workers.
On Wednesday, November 4, the organization held a press conference at which it delivered a seven-day ultimatum to the international human rights group Amnesty International to leave Nigeria.
The Sahara Reporter, when publishing the report, said Buratai was a sponsor of the NGO.
The military, in their reaction, called this statement “fake news.”
