NIN: NIMC workers suspend strike

Officials from the National Identity Management Commission suspended a union action they took on Thursday out of fears that COVID-19 would spread throughout the agency.

It became known that the workers decided to suspend the strike after meeting with the federal government, at which it was agreed that the requests of the employees will be considered.

The President of the NIMC Senior Officials Association Asekohay Laki confirmed the suspension of the strike to our correspondent in Abuja.
He said commissioners across the country had been contacted to resume work by Monday and begin recruiting citizens to obtain national identification numbers.
