Nnamdi Kanu curses Lord Lugard for the merger of northern and southern Nigeria

The indigenous leader of Biafra cursed Lord Lugard for uniting southern and northern Nigeria.

On January 1, 1914, northern and southern Nigeria were established as a country in accordance with a document approved by Lord Frederick Lugard, then governor of both protectorates.

But after the political, economic and security crisis that characterized the merger since that time, some Nigerians criticized the 1914 event as a huge mistake on the part of the colonial masters.

IPOB leader Kanu, who joined in denouncing the merger, tweeted on his official Twitter page on Monday and said he would not do well with Lord Lugard.

Kanu reacted to a tweet that showed a cow moving to a medical facility.

He said this view indicates that the Nigerian government has prioritized livestock at the expense of citizens.

The tweet reads, “Our dear Matrona Fulani is leading her room to the #zoo hospital called Nigeria.

“In a stunned Nigeria, the TRUTH is often stranger than fiction. This is what these Janjaweed have cut their lives to.

“It will not be good with those who united North and South in 1914.”
