Nnamdi Kanu gets angry when he reacts to #EndSARS protest
The police attack on protesters during the #EndSARS protest on Tuesday was condemned by Biafran IPOB indigenous leader Nnamdi Kanu.
Protesters are campaigning against Nigeria’s anti-robbery police unit, SARS.
Kanu warned that using live bullets against protesters is an international crime.
The IPOB leader said the police, the army and the Department of Public Services, DSS, are required to disobey orders aimed at quelling peaceful protests.
Kanu tweeted: “Dear Nigerians! If your relative / friend is a security officer (police, army, DSS), tell him that using live bullets against #EndSARS protesters is an international CRIME; that his DUTY to humanity is NOT TO CONFIRM all orders to suppress protests. If you KILL, YOU WILL SUFFER! “
Nigerians have protested against police brutality in the country.
During yesterday’s protest in the Surulere area, Lagos state, a protester was killed after police in the area opened fire with live ammunition.
