Obiano rewards Eunice Onuegbusi: the woman who refused 5,000 to vote for a party

During the recently conducted Anambra Guber, a viral video surfaced showing women, specifically a woman rejecting moves to influence her in the Anambra election with ₦ 5000, presumably to vote for a particular party.

They were heard saying “we don’t want APC, they’ve been mean to us.”

Governor Willie Obiano awarded her ₦ 1M today at a special thanksgiving mass to appreciate God for a peaceful, free and fair election.

Present were governor elect Chukwuma Soludo, deputy governor elect, Onyedikachukwu Ibezim and other APGA faithful.

FLASH: Governor Obiano awards Ms. Eunice Ngozi Onuegbusi, of Ukwulu (village of Amagu) Ward 1, electoral unit 04 (Dunukofia LG) with a sum of 1,000,000 naira.

In a viral video, Ms. Eunice was seen refusing a whooping 5,000 naira by APC agents in her constituency to allow her to vote against her conscience on Saturday, November 6, 2021.

In Governor Obiano’s remark: “Ms. Eunice knew that even if money could buy her temporary relief, Anambra would be a better place if she voted according to her conscience. Belonging to our loyal party are men and women who have resisted the temptations of financial incentives from rival parties to fight under the APGA banner because they knew that victory for the APGA is victory for ordinary citizens of our dear state. And finally, it belongs to Ndi Anambra at home and in the diaspora behind APGA, not because we have met all the expectations of our people, but because even in the foundation that my team and I have laid so far, they see enough sunlight to believe that the state of Anambra is like the sun that is destined to rise, against all odds. And that’s why we won this election. “…
