Ogun directs industries to vaccinate workers

Longe made the call during a tour of Olam Nigeria Limited and the TGI Group in Sagamu, saying that through industry support, the government would solidify on its successes in flattening the pandemic curve.

“We are playing an advocacy role and mobilizing industries so that they can also mobilize their workers to get vaccinated. Beyond the workers, they can also encourage their direct families, so they can be part of the 2 million targeted people who will be vaccinated ”, said the commissioner.

He called on industries to reap the benefits of the state-owned Agro-Cargo airport that the current administration is currently building and the Economic Development Clusters (EDCs), as well as the African Development Bank’s Special Agricultural Transformation Zone which has been established in the state.

The Governor’s Special Adviser for Industry, Trade and Investment, Chief Remi Ogunmefun, has promised that the ministry will continue to provide the assistance needed to make industries and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises thrive, urging them to continue to relate to the government.

Group Director of Corporate Services, TGI Group, Sagamu, Mr. Michael Onabola, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to engage with the government, adding that all of its workers have been vaccinated thanks to the support of the state government.
