Ogun NUJ president, Amosu is dead

Soji Amosu, president of the Ogun State Section of the Union of Journalists of Nigeria (NUJ) has died.

Amosu, a staff member of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), died on Sunday.

Abiodun Taiwo, the NUJ assistant secretary in Ogun state, confirmed sudden death to DAILY POST.

Taiwo said Amosu died after a brief illness, expressing shock at what he called “an irreparable loss”.

Amosu, a native of Oke-Ore, Yewa South Local Government Area of ​​Ogun state, was born on June 22, 1968.

The Mass Communication graduate was elected president of the Ogun NUJ in 2019, at a time when he was completing a position as secretary of the board.

Although his election was dissolved by the national president of the NUJ, Chris Iziguzo, who claimed it was not in line with Article 5 (10) of the union’s constitution, Amosu turned to the National Industry Court and the election was confirmed in February 2021.
