Oh no! Five people burned dead in the Ogun oil tanker explosion

The Ogun State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed this in an update Wednesday morning.

According to the Daily Post, up to five people were confirmed dead in Wednesday’s blast from the oil tanker.

FRSC spokesperson in Ogun, Florence Okpe, said: “A total of five people were burned beyond recognition.

“They were recovered from one of the crashed trucks and were deposited at the FOS Morgue Ipara”.

The DAILY POST previously reported that the tanker had exploded in the early hours of Wednesday, burning at least five other vehicles on the road.

It is learned that the rescue operations are still ongoing.
