In 2004, Francess was 9 when her uncle’s wife broke into her bed while she was sleeping and poured a bucket of acid in her face.

A burn survivor thanked God for keeping her alive 17 years after her uncle’s wife poured acid on her face.

On Wednesday, November 17, the graduate of Anambra State University took to Instagram to celebrate her life, years after the terrible accident.

“A day like today !! I cried until there were no more tears in my eyes. One day like today I felt pains that I will not forget until I die, ” she wrote. “One day like today I asked so many questions that I have yet to have the answers to date!

“On November 17th I started a journey !! This day took our physical beauty but it didn’t take away who I was.

“This day left me scars that I will always remember !! Yes this girl is a really strong girl. Today I celebrate life

“This is my 17th year where I always smile even when it hurts me deeply !! Even in my next life I will always choose me

“Happy 17th anniversary to me and I can boldly say to myself,

Hey girl you are a strong girl. from 17-2004 to 17-2021.
