Ondo State Institutions of Higher Education Go on Strike Again Blaming Governor Aqueredola
To insist on its call to improve the welfare package, the Joint Action Committee of Public Higher Education Institutions (JAC) in Ondo has declared a 14-day warning strike, Insidenaija reports.

Higher education institutions include Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba, Akoko, Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa, Rufus Giva Polytechnic Institute, Owo and others.
In addition, university associations are composed of the National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT), the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU), the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics (SSANIP), and the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU).
Comrade Tayo Ogungbeni, chairman of the committee, told reporters about this.
According to him, despite the ultimatum delivered to Ondo State Governor Rotimi Aqueredolu to grant their request, the Governor refused to do anything.
Ogungbeni said the decision to strike was taken at a meeting held at the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa.

As a result, he called on all branch presidents to fully comply with the directive, which the AAUA branch immediately followed.
