Professor Benedict Orama of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), Ms Chinelo Anokhu of the African Investment Forum and His Excellency Vamkele Mene of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and Dean Garfield, Vice President of Public Policy for Netflix. participate as speakers in a virtual session entitled “The New Face of African Cooperation”.

Scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 6:00 pm, a session hosted by the African Soft Power Project will bring together these key voices to discuss the evolution of infrastructure development across the continent and the transformational opportunities this era of engagement is opening up to industries. and the knowledge economy.

With the advent of the first woman and the first African leader of the World Trade Organization (WTO), Africa’s position in the world has increased, especially at a time when the AfCFTA offers significant transformational opportunities for the continent’s economic growth.

The session, moderated by Ben Yedder, Publisher and Managing Director of IC Publications, provides a real platform to explore the evolution of infrastructure development across the continent (including digital), while contextualizing the strategic value of core business opportunities for economic progress and cultural integration in Africa.

The discussion will also look at how outdated reputation issues have hindered Africa’s investment opportunities on the global stage and how this is now being addressed through soft power games and investments in physical and digital infrastructure.

Yedder, who will lead the fireplace and moderate the keynote speech, will ask guests to focus on areas of creativity and knowledge as they explore how investors can harness the inherent potential to make Africa more attractive on the global stage.
