Senate President Senator Orji Uzor Kalu recently paid a condolence visit to Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba at his residence in Abuja over the destruction and looting of his property by thugs, Igbere TV reported.
The home of the former Senate Majority Leader in Calabar, Cross River State, was attacked by thugs in a #EndSARS protest.
The senator, who was not in the country at the time of the incident, said in a statement that sponsored thugs broke into her home and ransacked her on the ground, leaving only a bare floor.
According to him, “all toilets, toilets, pumps and every conceivable accessory were removed, as well as furniture, clothing, a large collection of books, documents and historical photographs, which are mostly rare and out of print.
“They also removed all windows, railings, family photos and evidence of burglary. My private chapel was not spared either.
“They set fire to cars and parts of the building after more than four hours in my house. It was methodical. The perpetrators apparently included electricians, plumbers, carpenters, engine mechanics, panel breakers and other traders, ”he said.
The head of the Senate, whose friendship with Senator Ndomaegba goes back many years, has already denounced the destruction in a statement, calling it unpleasant.
He congratulated the entire family of Senator Ndoma-egba on the huge loss and urged them to forgive everyone and continue their good work in society.
