Orphan allegedly abused by her aunt with a hot knife, talks about her ordeal (video)
Esther Sunday Akpan, a young orphan victim of child abuse, is now asking some worried Nigerians for help for her.
Esther sells water in bags and bananas on the street and does not go to school.
On Saturday, October 24, she was seen with bananas on her head for sale, but bruises on her legs drew people’s attention.
During interrogation, Esther explained that her aunt set fire to a knife and then applied a hot knife to her feet.
She said she was burned by her aunt because she took 200 naira from the money she was given to buy clean water for sale.
The girl explained that she bought food for 100 naira, and the remaining 100 for transport. This angered her aunt and led to insults.
Esther said that her parents are dead, so she lives with her mother’s sister, whom she allegedly mistreats here.
