In response to a Monday meeting of northern governors with the emirs and heads of the North and the Arewa leader in top positions of the current regime, leaders reiterated their request for restructuring ahead of the 2023 general election.
The rally that followed the ENDSARS protest, when we must unite national leaders to find solutions to our problems, is very distracting, divisive and causes Nigeria to become widely dispersed against ‘indivisibility’ and other non-sequencing. which were erupted at the end.
“Where would this country go if we also decided to call a meeting with our governors and senior federal government officials? We do not see the responsibility shown by those who were seriously accused of dividing our national government into parts to allow such sensitivity, insensitivity and total undermining of the country’s unity, which exists only on the lips of those behind the meeting.
“We did not even lose sight of the fact that in the communiqué of the meeting there was a space for nominations by the National Executive Council in favor of the breakout initiative, as this is the highest level of disrespect for the rest of the country, which they see as servants, when we should have equal stakeholders in the project. Nigeria.
“The meeting called into question the quality of humanity of any group that gathered during this mourning time, for not expressing a word of compassion for those who were recklessly killed by state forces and hired during the protests.
“We reject the indecent approach of pasting peaceful protesters in dark colors. They articulated their demands and received orders before the brutal state of Nigeria dispatched armed soldiers and thugs from 911 trucks against them.
“It is bad to put ‘our power’ over all other national interests by imposing the label of ‘regime change’ on peaceful demonstrators who were not armed, like Boko Haram, which the regime conducts with similar negotiations with which it pampered and pampered murderous shepherds
“We see no concern in celebrating that northern youth are not participating in the ENDSARS protests, as if they were not robbing their disadvantaged youth in other parts of the country as well, which shows that they are suffering the same. But instead of treating leprosy, our colleagues are fighting eczema.
“We foresaw everything that is happening now, so we asked for restructuring, since a multinational country like Nigeria can only be governed by federal principle. We were aware of the damage the military had done to this country by using fiat to build LGAs headquartered in the villages of the best shooters, mostly from the north. Today, Kano has 44 local governments and Bayelsa has 80. If you want to recruit 10 police officers for the LGA, Bayelsa will have 80 and Kano has 44O. This affects where the bait materials for SARS and others come from. Inequality is multiplying everywhere. That is why we are now insisting on the restructuring of the country before the national elections.
“We are making it very clear to our colleagues from the north center that yesterday ended last night and that this country will never be governed in the same way again. No part of the country can play the role of supporters of supremacy as if we were all fools.
“Either we live together as equals by the same rules of commitment, or we explore other options as worthy people.
“We deeply grieve with all the families who lost loved ones in the crisis we have just experienced, and we pray to God for comfort. Let those who voluntarily destroyed lives pay for their actions with painful death.
