Pastor Oyahilome told me that I would go to jail and leave in 6 months, ”says Orji Kalu.
Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, head of the Senate and former governor of Abia State, recounted how Pastor Chris Oyahilome predicted what would happen to him.
According to Kalu, founder and president of LoveWorld Incorporated, also known as the Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyahilome told him that he would go to jail and be released in six months.
The business tycoon made the revelations on Sunday during a Thanksgiving service at the headquarters of the Christ Embassy Church in Lagos, chaired by Pastor Oyahilome.
Testifying from the pulpit, Kalu said Pastor Chris Oyahilome told him in October 2019 that no amount of interference from world leaders would prevent him from going to jail.
He further said: “I was on my way to Abuja and the pastor asked me to stop by for dinner. We have been friends for over 28 years and are very close. As I was about to leave, we prayed together, and he told me what I could not stomach. He said that I needed to prepare because I would be in prison for six months. He told me that this is something that I cannot stop, and that no amount of intervention by world leaders can stop it.
“He said the day set for the High Court ruling would be postponed and everything happened as he said. He told me that I should get closer to God, because what he has prepared for me after the prison experience is great. It made me realize that this is the stage that God really wants me to go through. Today I am very grateful for this experience. Then I wanted the cup to pass, but today I am happy and immensely happy with God for everything.
“This was not the first time a pastor gave me prophecies, and I always disagreed with him because I do not believe in prophecies. In 2011, he told me that I should not run in the Senate elections because my mandate would be stolen and not returned. I disobeyed him, and everything went as he said. In 2014, he also told me that Muhammadu Bukhari would win the 2015 elections and that happened. There are several times when he gave me prophecies, and although I disagreed with him, they all happened. So, I am here to thank God and thank the pastor for using him in his conversation with me.
“If you remember, I dressed in black for the judgment on that fateful day and didn’t worry, because I was prepared both in body and spirit. The will of God always prevails and I give Him all the glory. “ He also said.
As a reminder, Senator Kalu, who was sentenced to 12 years in prison in December 2019 on corruption charges, was released from the Kuja Correctional Center in Abuja in June 2020 after the Federal High Court of Lagos, chaired by Judge Muhammad Liman, ordered his release in in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Court to overturn the trial and sentencing.
In May, the Supreme Court ruled that the trial and verdict handed down by Judge Mohammed Idris against Kalu and two others were null and void because the trial judge had no jurisdiction after being transferred to the Court of Appeal.
