Phones theft suspects kill 22-year-old man in Kano (photos)

On Friday, December 11, a 22-year-old man named Abdussalam Muhammad was stabbed to death in the Yakasai district of Kano Municipal District, Kano State, in the Yakasai District of Kano Municipal District, Kano State, on Friday, December 11, IgbereTV reported.

Confirming the incident to reporters, his mother, Bilikisu Alhassan Nuhu Yakassay, said that some criminals broke into their home around 3 am. He said that the militants took his phone and the phone of his children before entering the room where Muhammad slept, broke down the door and stabbed him in the stomach. He said that he took Muhammad by motorcycle to the Murtal Muhammad Specialized Hospital, where he died.

“I informed my mother-in-law about the incident in my house, after I screamed with prayers and my neighbor left, they ran after the thieves, but ran away,” he said.

Confirming the incident, Kano State Police spokesman Abdullahi Haruna Kiyava said one of the criminals had already been arrested. He added that the investigation of the incident is ongoing.
