A young herbalist got into trouble after being arrested for the death of a hotel owner in Ogun state.

According to Punch, 20-year-old herbalist Misipode Dosu killed the innkeeper, Jimo Bello, before escaping a few months ago. Bello, the owner of a famous hotel in Gadfly Yeva, was found dead in the trunk of his Toyota Camry, parked in the Omo Ilu Ovotedo area on Idiroko Street.
State police public relations agent Abimbola Oyemi confirmed the arrest on Thursday in a statement. Oyemi said Bello’s body was found on May 29, 2020, adding that residents who spotted his car parked in their area became suspicious when an unpleasant smell began to emanate from the car.
He said that they later reported to the Idiroko Police Department. “When the police arrived at the scene, the door of the car was forced open and the body of the deceased was found in the trunk of the car.” The case was later turned over to the State Department of Investigation and Intelligence Homicide Section, tasked with tracking down the killers.
“A team led by CSP Femi Olabode conducted an intelligence and technical investigation that led to the arrest of 20-year-old herbalist Misipode Dosu, who was the last person to be seen with the deceased.” , He added. Oeyemi explained that the suspect admitted during interrogation that the deceased had contracted him for a ritual of making money, for which he billed him $ 300,000.
He reportedly said that the victim paid him AD 250,000. According to the PPRO, after a while, the deceased began to pressure Dosu not to see the successful outcome of the ritual.
“Fearing that the deceased might report him to the police for receiving money from him under false pretenses, he invited him to come to the final stage of the ritual in Idiroko.” Upon arriving there, he gave him a decoction prepared with a poisonous substance, and the man fell and died, immediately eating the mixture. “The suspect immediately put the deceased in the trunk of his car, drove the car and parked it in the place where the body was found,”
He added. He said that State Police Commissioner Edward Ajogun ordered that the suspect be brought to justice as soon as the investigation is completed.
