Six suspects were arrested by Lagos State Police Headquarters for assaulting innocent civilians and damaging vehicles on Ondo Street in the Ebutte Meta district of Lagos, southwestern Nigeria, on Tuesday evening October 13.

Confirming the arrests of the suspects, Lagos State Police spokesman Muyiva Adejobi said that around 9:30 pm on Tuesday, thugs came out en masse and started causing trouble in the area, but police responded to distress signals. innocent people, pursued and arrested some of them.

He named alleged thugs such as Kudus Oke, 22; Abdullahi Ajose, 25; Kayi Adjayi, 33 years old; Michael Ben, 27; Godwin Joseph, 25, and Oluwasegun Akinleid, 29.

Adejobi quoted Lagos State Police Commissioner Hakim Odumos, who promised to get rid of thugs, bandits, gangsters, sectarians and other social vices.

The Commissioner said that all hands are on the bridge to counter any action that could jeopardize the state’s security system and inflict pain and agony on the Lagosians during the embers months and beyond.
