Police arrested a cook and two others for kidnapping in the Delta
On Monday morning, police arrested an unidentified cook and two others on charges of alleged involvement in the kidnapping of Emmanuel Piopio, who was abducted in Agbarho, in the Ugelli North local government area in Delta State.

According to police sources, the victim was abducted on Sunday in Equere Street in Agbarho, after which the kidnappers contacted one of his family members and asked for a ransom for his release.
The perpetrators reportedly took the victim away in his colored Lexus ES350 sedan with registration number KWL 663 BB to an unknown destination, from where they began negotiations with his family for a ransom.
After giving details of the arrest of the thugs and the subsequent rescue of the victim, the source, who is a senior police officer at the Agbarho police station, provided the names of two male suspects, such as; Ogaga, a protector of the Ododego community, and Evans Emogariemu of the Oruorakpo community, are all in the Ugelli Local Government District of the North of the State.
While attempts to speak to the public relations officer of the state police proved futile, the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said: “After the abduction of the victim, the case was transferred to the Agbarho police station. Following intelligence information in collaboration with the military and agents of the Vigilante Group from Nigeria, we were able to trace the cell phone number of one of the suspects.
“The arrest of the suspect also led to the arrest of other gang members in their den located in the forest of the Ophori-Agbarho community in Agbarho, where the victim was being held. We also managed to rescue a victim who had already spent about two days in the abductors’ den, while attempts are being made to arrest other members of the flying gang. “
