Police arrested a woman for trying to sell an Ebony baby for 40 thousand N (photo)
A commercial prostitution suspect was arrested in Ebony while trying to sell her child.
According to the Ebonya police, a woman was arrested for trying to sell her child for 40,000 bunks.
A 32-year-old woman named Victoria Chukvube was arrested while trying to sell her four-month-old baby to raise money to start a beverage business.
Ebony Lovet State Police spokesman Oda said Chukwube was arrested following suspicion.
“So her name is Chukwube Victoria, she told us that she was in commercial sex and that she had a child to carry.
“He said that if he leaves here, he will continue to search for potential buyers.
“But we tried to talk to her and make her understand the value of a mother, but she refused.
“She also told us that if we let her go home with the baby, she would throw the baby away and that she couldn’t tell who she got pregnant from.”
After questioning, the woman refused to name her state or local government, but said she did not have the financial capacity to care for the child.
“I am from Nigeria, I am 32 years old, I have sex and my baby is only four months old.
“I want to sell my child for 40,000 N in order to start my own business. I have a refrigerator and I live at Ogbe House in Abakaliki. “
