Police begin their investigation as thugs raze Imo's court

The state police commissioner, Rabiu Hussaini, has ordered a holistic investigation into the arson case.

Following the shooting down by attackers of a court in Ubulu, in the local government of Oru West, the Imo state police launched an investigation to get the perpetrators to register.

On Monday the thugs had attacked and razed the Magistrate’s court. The criminals, who were over 15, reportedly arrived with explosive devices and immediately set fire to the courthouse. The development has caused tension in the community as many have fled their homes. But state police spokesman Michael Abattam said Wednesday that state police commissioner Rabiu Hussaini had ordered a holistic investigation into the arson case.

Abattam, a chief superintendent of police, said the command was working hard to catch the attackers.
