Police prevent Boko Haram from attacking Maiduguri, kill 8 terrorists

A group of police officers killed at least eight fantastic Boko Haram terrorists who were trying to attack the residents of Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state.

It was in the evening, when Muslim believers were preparing to break the fast in Ramadan, when terrorists entered the area with a machine gun and several motorcyclists.

An intelligence source told PRNigeria that terrorists were setting fire to a house in Jiddari Polo when a police group led by CSP Mohammed Ibrahim suddenly appeared in the area with a transport tank (APC).

“Immediately the terrorists noticed a police command, they tried to hide. While pursuing them, an armored police courier invaded and killed some of them on the spot.

“We counted at least eight corpses, many others were scattered in pieces. As we speak, their bodies lie in the Jidari Polo. In fact, it was a bad way out for the terrorists.

“Items recovered from terrorists include: Anti-aircraft guns, several AK-47s and a terrorist truck.

A reinforcement team consisting of the Nigerian army, Nigerian police and a civilian joint task force was subsequently deployed to pursue other fleeing terrorists.
