Police save 11 kidnapped victims, several cows and sheep in Katsina

Eleven victims kidnapped by bandits on Friday 12 November 2021 were rescued by the state of Kaduna.

The PRO police in the state, the superintendent of police, Gambo Isah, revealed this in a press release on Sunday. He said the victims were released by police from one of the bandit enclaves in Tsaskiya village in the Safana local government area of ​​the state.

SP. Isah also revealed that before reuniting with the family, the victims underwent a series of medical tests at Dutsima General Hospital to ascertain their health.

Similarly, on the same day, SP. Isah said the police were able to recover thirty-eight (38) cows and eleven (11) sheep, as well as a bajaj motorcycle from the bandits who in large numbers attacked the village of Gidan Duka in the state’s Kankara LGA and stole a large number of cows and other domestic animals.

According to SP. Isah in the statement: “Today, November 14, 2021 around 2:30 hours, the bandits in their number, armed with AK 47 rifles, attacked the village of Gidan Duka, Kankara LGA of the state of Katsina and stole an unspecified number of pets. DPO Kankara and his team quickly responded to the distress call and chased after the thugs.

“The team intercepted the bandits in the village of Danmarabu and engaged them in a firefight. The bandits fled into the forest, abandoning all the rustling animals, consisting of thirty-eight (38) cows and eleven (11) sheep. The team also recovered an operational Bajaj motorcycle belonging to the bandits. The investigations are underway “.
